Latin Excellence Programme

The Centre for Latin Excellence is a Department for Education backed initiative, designed with the intent to increase the uptake and attainment of Latin GCSE across the non-selective state sector. It is particularly focused on achieving these aims in regions outside of London, the South East, and the East of England, and with all schools working in disadvantaged contexts.

The Curriculum Centre, within which the Latin Excellence project sits, was established in 2012 by Future Academies. With over a decade of experience in curriculum design, the Curriculum Centre specialises in supporting schools to introduce high-quality and fully resourced curriculum programmes into the classroom in a sustainable and evidence-informed way.
